We welcome medical students interested in rotating at Inspira Medical Center-Vineland. Our program offers a high-volume, community-based training environment with broad pathology, strong procedural exposure, and a supportive, hands-on learning experience.
Students work closely with faculty and residents, gaining meaningful clinical responsibility while building core emergency medicine skills. Rotators have the opportunity to experience multiple emergency departments within our system, exposing them to diverse patient populations and a wide range of clinical presentations. In addition to clinical shifts, students participate in simulation activities designed to reinforce critical decision-making, resuscitation skills, and team-based care.
Rotations are coordinated directly through our Program Manager, Brenda Mulford (we do not participate in VSLO).To request a rotation, please email mulfordb@ihn.org and cc our clerkship director Dr. Blazar (blazare@ihn.org) and include your full name, medical school, and preferred rotation dates.
We give preference to visiting students interested in matching into EM. We do accept IMGs on a case by case basis. Four-week rotations are preferred to allow for the most immersive experience, though two-week rotations may be accommodated when needed. We also offer dedicated two-week Emergency Ultrasound rotations during select blocks throughout the year. These rotations focus on developing proficiency in point-of-care ultrasound, with an emphasis on image acquisition, interpretation, and clinical integration. Students can expect high scan volumes and close guidance to build confidence and competency.
